Middleton

We cover Middleton for solar, battery, EV charger and general electrical work. Being based over in Prestwich just down the road, we're often in the area, and we can usually get out for a survey within a week or two.

Middleton has a mix of post-war semis, more recent estates, and a fair amount of older terraced housing closer to the town centre, most of which take solar without much complication. Ashley does every survey himself and is on site for the install, so the recommendations come from an MCS-certified electrician who'll be doing the work.

New-build electrical work in Bowlee, Heywood

One nearby project gives a better idea of the electrical experience behind the solar work. Renegade custom-designed, installed and commissioned the complete electrical installation for a new-build home in Bowlee, Heywood. The work included internal and external lighting along with a wall-mounted smart management interface controlling lights, plugs, switches, cameras and thermostats.

Solar was planned for a later phase. By completing the whole-house electrical design first, we could consider the controls, consumer unit and cable routes that would also matter when the property added solar panels, battery storage or an EV charger. Practical support in M24

At Christmas 2025, Renegade offered help to M24 residents dealing with fuse-board tripping and power cuts, with no call-out fee for pensioners. It was the third year we had run the Christmas offer for people around Middleton and Alkrington.

We also write up the community projects that pass through this part of Greater Manchester. One recent example is the Travelling Power Station, a University of Manchester mobile energy project where Renegade helped with the design and installed the solar. Ashley has said a Middleton stop is in the works as part of its community programme.
