EV Charger Installations in Hale
We install EV chargers across Hale. Ashley is a NAPIT-registered electrician based in Prestwich, and over the years we've worked on chargers for BMW, Audi, Polestar, Range Rover, Tesla and pretty much everything else, so the brand of car isn't really the question.
A recent job on Hale Road came in because the customer's Hypervolt charger had stopped working. We diagnosed the fault, liaised with Hypervolt directly, and got them back up and running.
What it costs to charge at home
Public chargers at supermarkets and service stations are running at 60-80p per kWh during peak times (zapmap.com). On a tariff like Octopus Go, home charging is 9.5p overnight. For a daily commute into Manchester or a run to the airport (15 minutes down the M56), the difference adds up to a fair bit over the course of a year.
A 7kW wall charger does the job overnight in the cheap rate window. Granny chargers that plug into a normal socket take most of the day and miss that window entirely.
Working with Hale properties
Hale has a mix of Victorian and Edwardian properties with traditional driveways, and most of those existing electrical supplies will handle a 7kW charger without any extra work. For listed buildings or properties in the conservation area around South Hale and Hale Station, we keep the mounting neat and discreet.
Many of the larger properties around Hale and Hale Barns have three-phase supplies that can take a 22kW charger if that suits your usage. Ashley started out on larger commercial setups, so three-phase work isn't an issue.
Chargers we install
We usually fit Omicro chargers, but we've also installed Wallbox and Tesla chargers, and we're an Octopus Energy Trusted Partner so the full Octopus range is available too. If you've got Solax or AlphaESS solar or battery kit, their chargers integrate with their own systems. Whatever brand you've got in mind, we'll fit it.
The install
Most jobs are done in a day. The chargers are weatherproof, so they go on whatever wall suits your parking - garage, house wall, outside. Where cable has to run outside from the consumer unit, we use armoured cable rated for outdoor use.
We also cover Hale Barns, Altrincham, Bowdon, and the surrounding villages.

Fitted 3 batteries and Invertor very professional and friendly
From the start he was extremely friendly, knew what he was talking about and we agreed a price, he came did the job it took longer than he expected but he didn't complain he took his time to finish the job and came back next day to help set it up, I was thoroughly impressed
New solar & battery unit
Ashley and his team fitted a solar & battery unit to my house. They were all great. Polite, knowledgeable and efficient. All the work was completed in the agreed timescale. I would definitely recommend them.

Brilliant! Super professional, inspected the house, highlighted what needed doing the instead of leaving it there, they went out the way to hop to the shop get the part and install it so I could have the full report and everything sorted that day. 100 recommend!
faulty socket

Solar installation
We were looking for an off grid solar installation for our allotment. Renegade gave us a very good quote for the job and so we chose them. This turned out to be a great decision. Ashley did a site inspection and we tweaked the initial design to better suit our location. The installation went ahead on the planned date and the work was completed to a very high standard. We had some additional work carried out at the same time, some due to Ashleys recommendation (e.g. swapping our lighting for LED). I highly recommend Renegade as a trustworthy and competent company.

Renegade Electricals - Exceptional service!
In a word...outstanding! Renegade Electricals installed a 10 panel PV system with battery/inverter for us and we're extremely happy with it. Ashley was easy to deal with, reassuring and very professional providing full documentation and keeping us informed throughout the process. His customer service was exceptional and technical knowledge formidable. The panels, even in winter in the grim/grey north west, are producing impressive stats and its great entertainment watching the Alpha-ESS app showing the panels filling the battery up during the day, then discharging in the evening. RECOMMENDED!
