The smart chargers wait until electricity drops to off-peak rates (7.5p/kWh on Octopus Go) before charging your car. Compare that to 50-80p at a public rapid charger. You plug in when you get home and forget about it.

Quick and tidy installation
Installation takes a day. The charger units are weatherproof so we can mount them wherever suits your parking. Need cable running round from your consumer unit to the other side of the house? No problem — we use heavy-duty armoured cable designed for outdoor runs.
Your consumer unit needs to be up to date, but if you've already got solar panels or a battery fitted, it'll already be up to scratch. Even without renewable kit, you can sign up for a time-of-use tariff to get cheap overnight charging.

Solar installation
We were looking for an off grid solar installation for our allotment. Renegade gave us a very good quote for the job and so we chose them. This turned out to be a great decision. Ashley did a site inspection and we tweaked the initial design to better suit our location. The installation went ahead on the planned date and the work was completed to a very high standard. We had some additional work carried out at the same time, some due to Ashleys recommendation (e.g. swapping our lighting for LED). I highly recommend Renegade as a trustworthy and competent company.

In a word...outstanding! Renegade Electricals installed a 10 panel PV system with battery/inverter for us and we're extremely happy with it. The panels, even in winter in the grim/grey north west, are producing impressive stats and its great entertainment watching the Alpha-ESS app showing the panels filling the battery up during the day, then discharging in the evening.
